Femi Fani-Kayode Back In Court Over Money Laundering Charges

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, is today being arraigned at the Federal High Court, Lagos on a 47 count charge of alleged money laundering.

Fani-Kayode was first arraigned before Justice Ramat Mohammed of the same court on December 23, 2008. He was also re-arraigned before a new judge, Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako, on Thursday February 16th, 2012 because of the re-assignment of the case by the Chief Judge following the transfer of Justice Mohammed out of Lagos. The trial was thereafter fixed for the 10th of October, by Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako of a Federal High Court in Lagos.

However, in November 2012, the Federal High Court in Lagos again fixed February 11, 2013 for the commencement of trial of the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.
