Femi Fani-Kayode Back In Court Over Money Laundering Charges
Former
Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, is today being arraigned at the
Federal High Court, Lagos on a 47 count charge of alleged money
laundering.
Fani-Kayode
was first arraigned before Justice Ramat Mohammed of the same court on
December 23, 2008. He was also re-arraigned before a new judge, Justice
Binta Murtala-Nyako, on Thursday February 16th, 2012 because of the
re-assignment of the case by the Chief Judge following the transfer of
Justice Mohammed out of Lagos. The trial was thereafter fixed for the
10th of October, by Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako of a Federal High Court
in Lagos.
However,
in November 2012, the Federal High Court in Lagos again fixed February
11, 2013 for the commencement of trial of the former Minister of
Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.
